TATTOO REMOVAL

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being relatively new technology, most of us are new to the world of laser tattoo removal. Below are the most common questions I’ve been asked. If you have any additional questions, please contact me and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

HOW DOES TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?

We all have three layers of skin. The epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis. When we get tattoos, the tattoo artist is placing the ink in the middle dermis layer. The ink particles are large enough that our immune system isn’t able to flush the ink out like it’s designed to.

My job is to shatter the ink into smaller particles so your body’s scavenger cells can collect them and flush them out of your system through sweat and urine. The other part of my job is to ensure this is performed while maintaining your skin’s integrity, and not compromising your immune system.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

That is all dependent on the way your body works. Although the laser breaks down the ink particles, your body’s immune system determines the speed in which the ink is flushed out of your system. On average, anywhere from 3-10 sessions will be required to eliminate each tattoo.

CAN YOU REMOVE A BRAND-NEW TATTOO?

It is recommended that you wait at least eight weeks after receiving a new tattoo before you undergo the laser tattoo removal process.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

GRAND OPENING SPECIAL!
$99 PER TREATMENT - ANY SIZE TATTOO - ENDS 30 JUNE

The cost of treatment is dependent on the size of the tattoo. I recommend you book in for an obligation-free consultation. I can assess your tattoo and provide a per-session quote for your treatment. If you cannot attend in person please contact me via phone, email, Facebook or Instagram with clear images of the tattoo you’d like removed.

DOES IT HURT?

As with any skin treatment, it depends on the person, but ultimately....yes. I try to minimise the pain as much as I can through precision and speed (and ice packs!). I also highly recommend using NUMIT prior to your appointment.
